As part of the Getty Foundation’s Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA initiative, this exhibition of Latin American Kinetic Art from the 1950s and 1960s was contextualized as akin to Southern California's legendary Light & Space movement. Its development over three years entailed dozens of visits to museum, corporate and private collections in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba and Venezuela, as well as Houston, New York, Miami and California; meeting with an International Advisory Board that in Buenos Aires and Los Angeles; consulting with dozens of scholars and artists in the field; contracting of catalog authors; selection of 60 works from more than 15 collections; writing lead catalog text; design and layout of the exhibition installation; multiple talks and public events at the museum.

"Many Latin-American countries celebrate their own chapter of Kinetic Art from the 1950s & 1960s, but thanks to the Getty Foundation's initiative, I was able to organize the first continent-wide museum survey of a uniquely 20th century movement."
